On June 30th and July 1st & 2nd Katelyn will be traveling to Las Vegas with Debbie and Eli to participate in an elite qualifier! If this competition goes well, Katelyn will be on her way to the US Classics. If she qualifies for the US Classics she will have the opportunity there to qualify for the US Championships in August. This is an exciting step in every gymnast's career. Earning the opportunity to compete in an elite qualifier is a privilege and an athlete must be performing at an extremely high skill level to progress even to this point. Please cheer on and encourage Katelyn as she prepares to compete!

What a whirlwind summer for Katelyn!! Not only did she qualify to be an elite in June, she also earned the opportunity to participate in the US Classics in late July! She did so well there, placing in the top 25 All Around, that she qualified to compete in the US Championships just this last weekend (August 17 - 19). After a few weeks of focused training, Katelyn traveled to St. Paul, MN early last week to train and compete. She not only continued to improve during this competition, but hit 8 for 8 routines, a huge accomplishment! After two days of competition she ended up in 16th place, an awesome showing considering the experience and level of the other competitors!! We are so proud of the dedication, focus and consistency that Katelyn showed throughout the competition!
