Date:  August 16th & 18th, 2007:

Once again, Katelyn Mohr stepped out to compete against Internationally ranked gymnasts at the Visa Championships in San Jose and easily held her own!  Katelyn Mohr represented Byers in the best way possible - by nailing 8 out of 8 routines over two days of competitions.  There were many Byers fans in the crowd both nights to cheer her on, and even some fans from other gyms showed up with matching t-shirts and all! :)  Although other gymnasts may have stepped out onto the floor with a name behind them from previous years of elite competition experience, Katelyn left her own mark in her first year as a senior elite, impressing everyone with her unique vault, strong tumbling & consistency!  After a bad fall in Monday's training, many coaches, athletes and trainers were awed with her determination and drive to succeed above and beyond any pain she may have been feeling.  What an amazing competitor and even better role model!  We are so blessed to have such a sweet person, an incredibly hard worker, and a phenomenal athlete as an Elite representing us on the national and hopefully international stage!!!

Date:  July 29, 2007:

Just yesterday, Katelyn qualified for the VISA Championships at a US Classic competition in Michigan!!!  She nailed 4 for 4 events with finesse!  There will definitely be more details to come!  The Championships will be held here in NorCal, Aug 16-18, so everyone should definitely come out to cheer her on!!! 

Date:  February 5, 2007:

On February 3rd Katelyn Mohr won the WOGA classic elite competition, making waves at the senior elite level.  Although new to the senior elite scene, Katelyn competed with more poise and confidence than any other competitor, claiming her first FIRST place finish as an elite!!  Most of her teammates of all optional levels were there to cheer her on!!  We are so proud of the leadership and role model that Katelyn has become for Byers!!

WOW!!!  Talk about Power & Beauty!!!
