Byers continued their Awesome competitive season in LA last weekend!  Saturday was a busy day, with the girls competing in 3 sessions.  The 8's led us off in the morning and cheered one another on from 2 sides of the gym (since our "small army" :) was split into two groups)!  Although the first event started off slow, the girls really brought the energy up as the day went on.  They all put in amazing routines and came together to create a Great team effort!!  Even though a few of the 9's began the meet with a rough start on floor, certain individuals really stepped up and got the energy going!  Bars proved to be a truly spectacular event.  To finish out a stellar competition, all the girls needed to do was balance their way to a strong finish!  With only a few missed skills, the girls walked away with a fantastic end to the competition!  The 10/Open session completed the evening.  With a lot of great competitors present, it was a fun competition to attend!  We were all thrilled to welcome back Francesca Mercurio to the all-around competition and are excited to see her finish out her final year with Byers before heading off to college!!  Although the girls knew that they would be up against some tough competition, they laid it all on the line, competing aggressively and with focus on all four events!  The girls showed the grace and finesse of seasoned competitors through their confident performances!!  The next morning the 7's had an early start.  The girls put together some beautiful routines, and continue to work towards competing with the confidence and poise that Byers is known for.  By the luck of the draw they finished on floor as the last competitors in the meet.  With all eyes on them, the girls drew applause from all sides for their awesome performances on floor!
