BYERS SACRAMENTO WINS THEIR FIRST MEET OF THE SEASON!  2004 Judges Cup was held on August 21st at Sacramento State University and we had our level 4, 5, and 6 gymnasts compete so well that they won 1st place Team.

Our Level 4 gymnasts were competing for the first time ever and competed like true champions.  Special mention to Courtney Ng (1st on bars, 3rd on beam, and 2nd in the all-around), Maci Lupton (2nd on floor and 3rd in the all-around), Cassidy Lutz (3rd on bars), Melanie Francisco (1st on bars and floor, 2nd on vault and beam, and all-around champion), Carli Yokoi (1st on vault and bars, 2nd on floor, and 2nd in the all-around), Alexis Sakaris (3rd on vault), Manaun Burlseson-Devoe (3rd on vault), Analyse Stapleton (2nd on bars), Jenean McGee (1st on bars, 2nd on vault and 2nd in the all-around), Justine Heise (2nd on bars and beam, and 3rd in the all-around).  Samantha Chan, Lindsay Cuellar, and Emily Patterson also competed very well in their first meet.

Level 6:  Quetzal Moreno (2nd on beam), Krista Trim (1st on vault, 3rd on bars and in the all-around), Megan Caniglia 1st on beam and 3rd on floor).  The following gymnasts also competed very well to help us win the 1st place team award: Savannah Cabading, Shelby O'Brien, Alissa Barbero, Kim Bee, and Feliz Moreno.

WOW!! This was a great competition for our gymnasts.  ALL of our teams (level 4,5,6) took first place AND what made it special was that it was our home meet.  A special thanks goes to all of the families that helped make this meet so special and successful!

Level 6 Highlights:  1st place as a team! We are so proud of our level 4,5,6! All the teams competed very well at this meet with our level 4 and 6 team winning 1st place and our level 5 team winning 3rd place.  Special Note:  Our level 4 team won by 8.60 points and Jenean McGee was 4th out of 458 competitors!

Once again we are very proud of our young gymnasts!  Our level 4 team placed 1st once again (they are currently undefeated!), and our level 6 team placed 3rd.

Our level 5 and 6 girls, once again, competed very well at this competition held at San Mateo Gymnastics October 10, 2004.  Great job girls and congratulations to both teams - they both placed 3rd as a team!

Level 5 Highlights:  Anneke Klaver placed 3rd on floor and 5th on vault; Alex Roseborough placed 9th on bars and vault; Allison Gong placed 11th on vault and beam; Ashley Monroe placed 16th on floor; Jade Tabayoyong was 3rd on beam and in the all-around; Jessie Iverson placed 2nd on beam and 5th in the all-around; Chelcie Limcaco was 3rd on bars and floor; Danielle Dangerfield placed 2nd on floor and 4th in the all-around; Monique Francisco was 4th on bars, 5th on floor and 6th in the all-around; and Michelle Grau was 5th on floor.

Level 6 Highlights:  Catherine Smith was 2nd on beam and 6th in the all-around; Quetzal Moreno was 7th on beam; Alissa Barbero was 3rd on floor and 5th in the all-around; Shelby O'Brien placed 2nd on vault and 6th on floor; Kim Bee placed 7th on beam; Feliz Moreno was 12th on floor; Savannah Cabading was 14th on floor; Megan Caniglia placed 2nd on beam and floor and 5th on bars and in the all-around; and Arielle Nerida was 3rd on bars and 4th on floor.

WOW!!! Our girls did FANTASTIC!!  This was the last meet of the season for our level 4's and they won 1st place team by 9.55 points which makes the undefeated as a team for 2 years in a row.  Also, our level 5 girls placed 3rd as a team and our level 6's placed 4th.  GREAT JOB GIRLS!

Our level 5 and 6 girls competed at Head Over Heals gymnastics in the Harvest Moon Invitational on October 24th.  Our Level 5 team placed 2nd and our level 6's placed 1st!  We are so very proud of our young gymnasts!

Level 6 Highlights:  Catherine Smith placed 2nd on floor and won bars and the all-around; Quetzal Moreno won beam and floor; Savannah Cabading was 5th on bars; Shelby O'Brien won bars and floor and placed 2nd in the all-around; Alissa Barbero placed 2nd on floor and 3rd on bars and in the all-around; Feliz Moreno was 4th on vault, bars and in the all-around; Kim Bee placed 6th on beam; Megan Caniglia won floor and placed 2nd in the all-around; and Arielle Nerida won bars.

Congratulations to Megan Caniglia, Krista Trim, Shelby O'Brien, Alissa Barbero, Kim Bee, Catherine Smith, and Megan DeLallo for qualifying to the Level 6 State Championships!  This meet was hosted by Technique Gymnastics and was held on November 13th and 14th.  Special mention goes to Megan DeLallo for placing 2nd on bars, Catherine Smith for placing 1st on bars making her a State Champion on that event, Alissa Barbero for placing 5th on both bars and floor, Shelby O'Brien was 9th on bars, Megan Caniglia placed 2nd on beam, and Kim Bee also competed strong for her first Level 6 Championship competition.  Great Job Girls!!

Congratulations to Michelle Grau, Danielle Dangerfield, Monique Francisco, Chelcie Limcaco, Jessie Iverson, Alexandria Roseborough, Jade Tabayoyong, Anneke Klaver, Allison Gong for qualifying to Level 5 State Championships!  What a great achievement as this was each of the girls' first year as a Level 5 gymnast.  This meet was hosted by Golden Bear Gymnastics on November 20th and 21st.  Jessie Iverson placed 1st on beam in her age division with a 9.450 and finished 3rd all-around.  Chelcie Limcaco finished 3rd on beam, 9th on floor and 9th all-around.  Jade Tabayoyong finished 3rd on beam, 4th on bars, 5th on floor and 5th all-around.  Anneke Klaver finished 6th on beam and 6th all-around.  Danielle Dangerfield finished 5th on floor and 8th all-around.  Allison Gong finished 12th all-around, Alexandria Roseborough finished 15th all-around, Monique Francisco finished 11th all-around, Michelle Grau finished 12th all-around.   Fantastic Job Girls!
